| There's a jetty in Wells Beach, Maine, made of granite boulders. In 2003 I shot several rolls of film all along the jetty. I selected one of the more interesting configurations and did this still life a year later. The amount of detail in these granite stones resulted in my not really knowing when I'd included enough detail to wrap up the drawing. |
