On June 17, 2000, I received a reply from one of the cartoon syndicates to whom I'd sent a Phase III sample package. The editor stated that they could not syndicate Scarred For Life at this time but encouraged me to fill out an application for a "fellowship program" they sponsor.

On August 28, 2000, I received a letter from Suzanne Whelton informing me that Scarred For Life was not selected for the FineToon Fellowship Program. Mine was one of "over 350 applications."
